Specialists in hand, muscles and joints, spine and headaches
Brandon Wright DPT, OCS, ATC
Brandon became a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and worked several years prior to starting his career in physical therapy. He was also a varsity football player in high school. He worked 2 summers with the Denver Broncos NFL team, as well as several years with high school and college teams in the Macon, Georgia area. A graduate of Florida A&M University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), Brandon brings a strong sports and athletics background to Therapy Center East. He recently completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy residency to further expand his knowledge base and his skill set and became certified as a Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
Brandon has more than the usual therapists’ or trainers’ understanding of the biomechanics of normal movement, exercise, athletics and pathomechanics. He seeks to find the biomechanical source of athletic injuries, such as poor throwing mechanics in the softball catcher, poor muscle balance in the pitcher’s shoulder, or poor foot mechanics with tight muscles in runners. Brandon takes a hands-on approach to the treatment of patients after a detailed evaluation of the patients’ injury and biomechanical issues. The athletic rehabilitation philosophy of rapid, maximal functional recovery for sport or daily activities matches the overall philosophy of Therapy Center East.
